Title:  So They Were Seeking to Seize Him

The text is, “Ἐζήτουν οὖν αὐτὸν πιάσαι, καὶ οὐδεὶς ἐπέβαλεν ἐπ’ αὐτὸν τὴν χεῖρα, ὅτι οὔπω ἐληλύθει ἡ ὥρα αὐτοῦ”.

“Ἐζήτουν”:  third person, plural, imperfect, active, indicative verb meaning “they were seeking”.

“οὖν”:  coordinating inferential conjunction meaning “so”.

“αὐτὸν”:  third person, personal, masculine, singular, accusative pronoun meaning “him”.

“πιάσαι”:  aorist, active, infinitive verb meaning “to arrest” or “to seize”.

“καὶ”:  coordinating conjunction meaning “and”.

The meaning of this verse is,

So they were seeking to seize him, and no one laid the hand on him, because his time had not yet come.
