Title:  The Man, Being Sick, Answered Him

The text is, “ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ ὁ ἀσθενῶν· κύριε, ἄνθρωπον οὐκ ἔχω ἵνα ὅταν ταραχθῇ τὸ ὕδωρ βάλῃ με εἰς τὴν κολυμβήθραν· ἐν ᾧ δὲ ἔρχομαι ἐγώ, ἄλλος πρὸ ἐμοῦ καταβαίνει”.

“ἀπεκρίθη”:  third person, singular, aorist, passive, indicative verb meaning “he answered”.

“αὐτῷ”:  third person, personal, masculine, singular, dative pronoun meaning “him”.

“ὁ”:  masculine, singular, nominative article meaning “the”.

“ἀσθενῶν”:  present, active, participial, masculine, singular, nominative verb meaning “man being sick”.

The man being sick answered him, “Sir, I have no man so that whenever the water has been stirred, he might put me into the pool; but while I am going in another goes down in front of me.
