Title:  So They Were Saying to Him, “Who Are You?”

The text is, “c; εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· τὴν ἀρχὴν ὅ τι καὶ λαλῶ ὑμῖν”.

“Ἔλεγον”:  third person, plural, imperfect, active, indicative verb meaning “they were saying”.

“οὖν”:  coordinating inferential conjunction meaning “so”.

“αὐτῷ”:  third person, personal, masculine, singular, dative pronoun meaning “to him”.

“σὺ”:  second person, personal, singular, nominative pronoun meaning “you”.

“τίς”:  masculine, singular, nominative, interrogative pronoun meaning “who”.

“εἶ”:  second person, singular, present, indicative verb meaning “are”.

“εἶπεν”:  third person, singular, aorist, active, indicative verb meaning “said”.

The meaning of this verse is,

So they were saying to him, “Who are you?”  Jesus said to them, “Just from the beginning what I say to you.”
