ἐκραύγασαν οὖν πάλιν λέγοντες· μὴ τοῦτον ἀλλὰ τὸν Βαραββᾶν (John 18:40)

Title:  Thereupon They Shouted Again Saying “Not This Man, but Barabbas.”

The text is, “ἐκραύγασαν οὖν πάλιν λέγοντες· μὴ τοῦτον ἀλλὰ τὸν Βαραββᾶν ἦν δὲ ὁ Βαραββᾶς λῃστής”.

ἐκραύγασαν -> third person, plural, aorist, active, indicative verb -> they shouted

οὖν -> coordinating inferential conjunction -> thereupon

πάλιν -> adverb -> again

λέγοντες -> present, active, participial, masculine, plural, nominative verb -> saying

μὴ -> negative particle -> not

τοῦτον -> masculine, singular, accusative, demonstrative pronoun -> this man

ἀλλὰ -> coordinating adversative conjunction -> but

τὸν -> masculine, singular, accusative article -> the NRIEH

Βαραββᾶν -> masculine, singular, accusative, proper noun -> Barabbas

ἦν -> third person, singular, imperfect, indicative verb -> was

δὲ -> coordinating conjunction -> now

ὁ -> masculine, singular, nominative article -> the NRIEH

Βαραββᾶς -> masculine, singular, nominative, proper noun -> Barabbas

λῃστής -> masculine, singular, nominative noun -> robber

The meaning of this verse is,

Thereupon they shouted again saying, “Not this man, but Barabbas”.  Now Barabbas was a robber.
