Title:  The Jews Again Took up Stones

The text is, “Ἐβάστασαν πάλιν λίθους οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἵνα λιθάσωσιν αὐτόν”.

“Ἐβάστασαν”:  third person, plural, aorist, active, indicative verb meaning “took up”.

“πάλιν”:  adverb meaning “again”.

“λίθους”:  masculine, plural, accusative noun meaning “stones”.

“οἱ”:  masculine, plural, nominative article meaning “the”.

“Ἰουδαῖοι”:  masculine, plural, nominative, proper noun meaning “Jews”.

“ἵνα”:  subordinating purposive conjunction meaning “so that”.

“λιθάσωσιν”:  third person, plural, aorist, active, subjunctive verb meaning “they might kill with stones”.

“αὐτόν”:  third person, personal, masculine, singular, accusative pronoun meaning “him”.

The meaning of this verse is,

The Jews again took up stones, so that they might kill him with stones.
