Καθὼς ἠγάπησέν με ὁ πατήρ κἀγὼ ὑμᾶς ἠγάπησα μείνατε ἐν τῇ ἀγάπῃ τῇ ἐμῇ (John 15:9)

Title:  As The Father Has Loved Me, and I Have Loved You, You Remain in My Love

The text is, “Καθὼς ἠγάπησέν με ὁ πατήρ κἀγὼ ὑμᾶς ἠγάπησα μείνατε ἐν τῇ ἀγάπῃ τῇ ἐμῇ”.

Καθὼς -> subordinating comparative conjunction -> as

ἠγάπησέν -> third person, singular, aorist, active, indicative verb -> has loved

με -> first person, personal, singular, accusative pronoun -> me

ὁ -> masculine, singular, nominative article -> the

πατήρ -> masculine, singular, nominative noun -> Father

κἀγὼ -> crasis of “καὶ” (coordinating conjunction)  and “‘έγω” (first person, personal, singular, nominative pronoun) -> and I

ὑμᾶς -> second person, personal, plural, accusative pronoun -> you

ἠγάπησα -> first person, singular, aorist, active, indicative verb -> have loved

μείνατε -> second person, plural, aorist, active, imperative verb -> you remain

ἐν -> preposition taking the dative for its object word -> in

τῇ -> feminine, singular, dative article -> the NRIEH

ἀγάπῃ -> feminine, singular, dative noun -> love

 τῇ -> feminine, singular, dative article -> the NRIEH

ἐμῇ -> feminine, singular, dative, possessive adjective -> my

The meaning of this verse is,

As the Father has loved me, and I have loved you, you remain in my love.”
