Title:  To Grow, That One Must, But I, To Be Made Less

The text is, “ἐκεῖνον δεῖ αὐξάνειν, ἐμὲ δὲ ἐλαττοῦσθαι”

“ἐκεῖνον”:  masculine, singular, accusative, demonstrative pronoun meaning “he” or “that one”.

“δεῖ”:  third person, singular, present, active, indicative verb meaning “it is necessary that” or “must”.

“αὐξάνειν”:  present, active, infinitive verb meaning “to grow”.

“ἐμὲ”:  first person, personal, singular, accusative pronoun meaning “I”.

“δὲ”:  coordinating conjunction meaning “but”. 

“ἐλαττοῦσθαι”:  present, passive, infinitive verb meaning “to be made less”.

The meaning of this verse is, “To grow, that one must, but I, to be made less”.
