Λέγει αὐτῷ Ἰούδας, οὐχ ὁ Ἰσκαριώτης κύριε (John 14:22)

Title:  Judas, not Iscariot, Says, “Lord”.

The text is, “Λέγει αὐτῷ Ἰούδας οὐχ ὁ Ἰσκαριώτης κύριε καὶ τί γέγονεν ὅτι ἡμῖν μέλλεις ἐμφανίζειν σεαυτὸν καὶ οὐχὶ τῷ κόσμῳ”.

Λέγει -> third person, singular, present, active, indicative verb -> says

αὐτῷ -> third person,  personal, masculine, singular, dative pronoun -> to him

Ἰούδας -> masculine, singular, nominative, proper noun -> Judas

οὐχ -> negative particle -> not

ὁ -> masculine, singular, nominative article -> the NRIEH

Ἰσκαριώτης -> masculine, singular, nominative, proper noun -> Iscariot

κύριε -> masculine, singular, vocative noun -> Lord

καὶ -> coordinating conjunction -> and

τί -> neuter, singular, nominative, interrogative pronoun -> how

γέγονεν -> third person, singular, perfect, active, indicative verb -> is it

ὅτι -> subordinating conjunction -> that

ἡμῖν -> first person, personal, plural, dative pronoun -> to us

μέλλεις -> second person, singular, present, active, indicative verb -> you are about

ἐμφανίζειν -> present, active, indicative verb -> to manifest

σεαυτὸν -> second person, singular, accusative, reflexive pronoun -> yourself

The meaning of this verse is,

Judas, not Iscariot, says, “Lord, how is that you are about to manifest yourself to us, and by no means to the world?”
