Αγαπητοί, οὐκ ἐντολὴν καινὴν γράφω ὑμῖν (I john 2:7)

Title:  Beloved, I do not Write a New Commandment to You

The text is, “Αγαπητοί, οὐκ ἐντολὴν καινὴν γράφω ὑμῖν ἀλλ’ ἐντολὴν παλαιὰν ἣν εἴχετε ἀπ’ ἀρχῆς· ἡ ἐντολὴ ἡ παλαιά ἐστιν ὁ λόγος ὃν ἠκούσατε”.

Αγαπητοί -> masculine, plural, vocative, verbal adjective -> beloved

οὐκ -> negative particle -> no

ἐντολὴν -> feminine, singular, accusative noun -> a commandment

καινὴν -> feminine, singular, accusative adjective -> new

γράφω -> first person, singular, present, active -indicative verb -> I do write

The meaning of this verse is,

Beloved, I do not write a new commandment to you, but an old commandment that you have had from the beginning.  The old commandment is the word that you heard.
