Title:  When Therefore He Heard that He is Ill

The text is, “Ὡς οὖν ἤκουσεν ὅτι ἀσθενεῖ, τότε μὲν ἔμεινεν ἐν ᾧ ἦν τόπῳ δύο ἡμέρας”.

“Ὡς”:  subordinating temporal conjunction meaning “when”.

“οὖν”:  coordinating inferential conjunction meaning “therefore”.

“ἤκουσεν”:  third person, singular, aorist, active, indicative verb meaning “he heard”.

“ὅτι”:  subordinating complementary conjunction meaning “that”.

“ἀσθενεῖ”:  third person, singular, present, active, indicative verb meaning “he is ill”.

The meaning of this verse is,

When therefore he heard that he is ill, indeed he remained two days longer in that place he was.
