ἰδοὺ ἔρχεται ὥρα καὶ ἐλήλυθεν (John 16:32)

Title:  Look!  The Hour Comes!  Indeed, it Has Come

The text is, “ἰδοὺ ἔρχεται ὥρα καὶ ἐλήλυθεν ἵνα σκορπισθῆτε ἕκαστος εἰς τὰ ἴδια κἀμὲ μόνον ἀφῆτε· καὶ οὐκ εἰμὶ μόνος, ὅτι ὁ πατὴρ μετ’ ἐμοῦ ἐστιν”.

ἰδοὺ -> interjection -> look!

ἔρχεται -> third person, singular, present, middle, indicative verb -> comes

ὥρα -> feminine, singular, nominative noun -> an hour | the hour

καὶ -> coordinating conjunction -> indeed

ἐλήλυθεν -> third person, singular, perfect, active, indicative verb -> it has come

ἵνα -> subordinating complementary conjunction -> that

σκορπισθῆτε -> second person, plural, aorist, passive, subjunctive -> you shall have been scattered

ἕκαστος -> masculine, singular, nominative, demonstrative adjective -> each

εἰς -> preposition taking the accusative for its object word -> to

τὰ -> neuter, plural, accusative article -> the NRIEH

ἴδια -> neuter, plural, accusative adjective -> his own

κἀμὲ -> crasis of “καὶ” (coordinating conjunction)  and “μέ'” (first person, personal, singular, accusative pronoun), -> “and me”

μόνον -> masculine, singular, accusative adjective -> alone

ἀφῆτε -> second person, plural, aorist, active, subjunctive verb -> should have left

καὶ ->coordinating conjunction -> but

οὐκ -> negative particle -> not

εἰμὶ -> first person, singular, present, indicative verb -> I am

μόνος -> masculine, singular, nominative adjective -> alone

ὅτι -> subordinating causative conjunction -> because

ὁ -> masculine, singular, nominative article -> the

πατὴρ -> masculine, singular, nominative noun -> Father

μετ -> preposition taking the genitive for its object word -> with

ἐμοῦ -> first person, personal, singular, genitive pronoun -> me

ἐστιν -> third person, singular, present, indicative verb -> is

The meaning of this verse is,

Look!  The hour has come!  Indeed, it has come, and you should have been scattered to his own and left me alone.  But I am not alone, because the Father is with me.”
