Title:  Never Since Eternity Was it Heard

The text is, “ἐκ τοῦ αἰῶνος οὐκ ἠκούσθη ὅτι ἠνέῳξέν τις ὀφθαλμοὺς τυφλοῦ γεγεννημένου”.

“ἐκ”:  preposition taking the genitive for its object word and meaning “since” or “from”.

“τοῦ”:  masculine, singular, genitive article meaning “the” but it is not rendered into English here.

“αἰῶνος”:  masculine, singular, genitive noun meaning “eternity”.

“οὐκ”:  negative particle meaning “not”.

“ἠκούσθη”:  third person, singular, aorist, passive, indicative verb meaning “it was heard”.

“ὅτι”:  subordinating complementary conjunction meaning “that”.

“ἠνέῳξέν”:  third person, singular, aorist, active, indicative verb meaning “opened”.

“τις”:  masculine, singular, nominative, indefinite pronoun meaning “anyone”.

“γεγεννημένου”:  perfect, passive, participial, masculine, singular, genitive verb meaning “of one having been born”.

The meaning of this verse is,

Not since eternity was it heard that anyone opened eyes of one having been born blind.”
