Title:  But The Testimony that I Receive is Not From Man

The text is, “ἐγὼ δὲ οὐ παρὰ ἀνθρώπου τὴν μαρτυρίαν λαμβάνω, ἀλλὰ ταῦτα λέγω ἵνα ὑμεῖς σωθῆτε”.

“ἐγὼ”:  first person, personal, singular, nominative pronoun meaning “I”.

“δὲ”:  coordinating conjunction meaning “but”.

“οὐ”:  negative particle meaning “not”.

“παρὰ”:  preposition taking the genitive for its object word and meaning “from” or “by”.

“ἀνθρώπου”:  third person, masculine, singular, genitive noun meaning “man”.

“τὴν”:  feminine, singular, accusative article meaning “the”.

“μαρτυρίαν”:  feminine, singular, accusative noun meaning “testimony”.

“λαμβάνω”:  first person, singular, present, active, indicative verb meaning “I receive”.

“ἀλλὰ”:  coordinating adversative conjunction meaning “but”.

“ταῦτα”:  neuter, plural, accusative, demonstrative pronoun meaning “these things”.

“ἵνα”:  subordinating purposive conjunction meaning “so that”.

But the testimony that I receive is not from man, but I say these things so that you will be saved.
