Title:  And They Reviled Him

The text is, “καὶ ἐλοιδόρησαν αὐτὸν καὶ εἶπον σὺ μαθητὴς εἶ ἐκείνου ἡμεῖς δὲ τοῦ Μωϋσέως ἐσμὲν μαθηταί”.

“καὶ”:  coordinating conjunction meaning “and”.

“ἐλοιδόρησαν”:  third person, plural, aorist, active, indicative verb meaning “they reviled”.

“αὐτὸν”:  third person, personal, masculine, singular, accusative pronoun meaning “him”.

“καὶ”:  coordinating conjunction meaning “and”.

“εἶπον”:  third person, plural, aorist, active, indicative verb meaning “said”.

“σὺ”:  second person, personal, singular, nominative pronoun meaning “you”.

The meaning of this verse is,

And they reviled him, and said, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.”
